Workday Student is Live!

We are thrilled to announce the official launch of Workday Student on Monday March 4, 2024, a pivotal milestone in our institution's strategic plan. We are excited to unveil this innovative platform designed to enhance our educational experience and streamline our operations.

Key Points:

  • Strategic Plan Integration: Workday is an integral part of our institution's strategic plan, aligning with our vision to foster academic excellence and empower our community with advanced tools and resources.

  • Years of Planning and Implementation: The implementation of Workday has been a journey spanning over seven years of planning and three years of intensive implementation efforts. This dedication underscores our commitment to delivering a solution that meets the diverse needs of our community.

Recommendations for users:

  • New Students: You will receive an email with instructions to setup your Lynn account. Your Lynn email is the official channel for announcements and communications to students and will allow you access to sites and information.  You will receive emails to log into Workday and complete your new student onboarding tasks before orientation week.
  • Current Students: We encourage students to begin their journey with Workday Student by utilizing the comprehensive Go Live Workday Student - Student Checklist  provided. Returning students must check their Workday inbox for the go live onboarding tasks. Please refer to the  Go Live - student onboarding guide for instructions.
  • Faculty: Faculty members are encouraged to kickstart their experience with Workday Student by referring to the Go Live Workday Student - Faculty Checklist  tailored to their specific needs. This will assist in leveraging the platform's functionalities to enrich teaching and learning experiences.
  • All Workday users:  Beginning March 4, Workday users will have new sorting and searching capabilities for a streamlined inbox task experience. Click here for details on how to use the new My Tasks inbox.
  • Transition: Workday Student is being implemented in a phased approach.  Lynn faculty, staff and students will continue to use myLynn (Jenzabar) and eSAS (PowerFaids) for all terms through Summer 2024 including drop/add courses and account balances.  Workday will be the system of record for all terms starting with Fall 2024. As such, we will introduce Workday in phases with different parts of our community as they approach key milestones (such as registration) for Fall 2024. During this transition period, it's important to note that any changes in information pertaining to spring and summer terms may not be immediately reflected in Workday. We will be updating our records regularly, but this process takes time. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as we work during the transition period.
  • Support and Assistance: Should you require any assistance or have questions regarding Workday, our dedicated helpdesk is available to provide support and guidance. Please don't hesitate to  open a support ticket in our Workday help desk or email us at Workday@lynn.edu.  for prompt assistance with any inquiries or issues you may encounter.

We are confident that Workday student will revolutionize the way we engage with technology and contribute to our collective success as a vibrant academic community.
