The last number of years at Lynn University has seen OneBlood visit our campus seeking blood donations from our students, faculty and staff. Very often various promotions are run offering movie tickets and Miami Heat tickets to all those who take part. However, not many people know that for every pint of blood donated to the OneBlood Blood Mobile, $20 is donated to a scholarship fund for Lynn University students?
 
Blood donations provide a vital service to the community and ensures that lives are saved every day. We never truly know if someone we know will ever need our donation, or if we will need a donation ourselves. What we do know is that our blood donation will be used to save a life. What better gift can there be than to save a life? With your help we can truly make a difference in our community.  
 
Did you know that if just one percent of the Lynn community were to donate on each of the three days in September, and at three other subsequent three day periods this school year, we would raise nearly $8,400 in scholarship funds. If we managed to have 3% participate this would grow to $25,200. Finally if just 5% of the Lynn community participated, it would raise approximately $42,000 in scholarship funds.

The blood mobile will be on campus on September 16 and 19.
