The Lynn University Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International invites students (doctoral, graduate, undergraduate), educators and practitioners to submit proposals to the Biennial KDP Research Symposium, “Taking a Byte of the Apple: Bridging the Gap Between Digital immigrants and Digital Natives.” Submissions that focus on works in progress, action research and pedagogy-based research are also encouraged. Submit proposals electronically with this Research Proposal Submission Form by March 22.
Presentation guidelines
• All sessions are 60 minutes.
• All presenters must register for the symposium by April 12.
Panel sessions
• A panel session should provide an opportunity to examine specific problems, topics or projects from diverse perspectives.
• Presenters should engage in dialogue, critique and respond to audience comments.
• Panel topics should be on the same theme and complement each other.
Paper presentations
• Individual papers are grouped by topic into 60-minute sessions and each paper is discussed for 15 minutes.
• Each session will include an introduction by a session discussant, presentation of papers and audience questions.
Poster sessions
• The poster session is a high-quality visual presentation of a research study.
• Presenters should provide attendees with a brief overview and a single-page handout of the project.
• The session should combine a graphic display of research with the opportunity for informal one-to-one interaction.
• Presenters need to remain with their posters during the entire session.
