Great news!!!  The 2017-18 FAFSA will be available October 1st, 2016!  That’s 3 months earlier than in the past.

Besides being available earlier, another new benefit is that you will use your 2015 income information to complete the FAFSA.  That means you don’t need to wait until you file your 2016 Federal Tax Return.

We strongly recommend that you use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool within the FAFSA application to automatically import your 2015 tax information into the FAFSA to avoid any mistakes.
