About myLynn

Welcome to myLynn, Lynn University's intranet. myLynn provides students, faculty and staff an all-in-one way to access university resources and personal information.
Some highlights of myLynn include:

• a redesigned LynnBay where you can post your own items in categories (think Craig’s List)
• private groups to keep private chats private and coordinate activities with your friends
• multimedia content showing the latest happenings throughout the site
• My Pages area to save a personal calendar and links

While most intranets are closed to the world, myLynn is not. As you probably noticed, there is no need to log in to get information about the latest, greatest happenings at Lynn University—most information is open for all to see.

A password, however, is still required to access secured information that is specific to students, faculty or staff members such as grades and financial information for students, and payroll and benefits information for employees. By signing in to myLynn you will also have single-sign-on access to other resources such as online registration, grades, email and more.

Here’s some of what you’ll find on the new myLynn tabs:

• Home:  “What’s Happening” at Lynn, including university news, announcements, today’s events, Lynn people, photos, video, Knight Writer blog, links to our social media channels, and the new and improved Lynn Bay (once you log in)
• Academics:  course schedules, grades,  advising information, library and bookstore hours and information, announcements, Distance Learning resources, academic support programs, the academic catalog and calendar, forms and documents
• Student Finances:  financial tips, account information, financial aid calendar and awards, online payment options
• Life at Lynn: information about all  Student Life activities and departments:  housing, career development, international student services, counseling, health center, multicultural and women’s centers, security and campus recreation activities
• Employee:  information about employee events, wellness, payroll, benefits, policies, documents and forms
• Help: basic instructions, site map, log in help, IT announcements, report a problem

• My Pages: a personalized area where users can modify their information and add items to their personal calendar.
• Quick Links: links to frequently used web services like Blackboard, email, and emarket

myLynn Login: Authentication and SSO services

The IT department will be migrating applications to a new authentication service. This is a complex project that will be scheduled in stages. We will be changing one application at the time starting with myLynn.

We will notify users the new schedule of changes.

How will this change affect you:  Applications login page will look different depending on the authentication system they use! You may be required to use your myLynn account (jdoe) or your email address ( to login.

All myLynn and Gradebook users will need to enter their complete Lynn email address ( or and password rather than just their user name (jdoe) and password. Passwords will remain the same!

Note: Library databases will remain the same and will still require CAS to authenticate (using myLynn username and password). We will be working to move the remaining applications into ADFS authentication in the next following weeks.

Below are the 2 authentication services and login pages we currently use:

Lynn ADFS page (use Lynn email address and password)

Applications: myLynn, Gradebook, Office365, 25Live

Lynn CAS page (use myLynn username and password)

Applications: Library Databases

What is LynnCAS and LynnADFS?
Lynn University Central Authentication Service (CAS) and Lynn ADFS are login services that allows you to access multiple password-protected web applications after logging in once (single sign-on). LynnCAS and LynnADFS currently supports several web applications, including myLynn, Grades and attendance and Office365.
LynnADFS will:
Provide a consistent and secure authentication for web applications.
Provide the infrastructure to allow single sign on in applications not currently supported.
Allow authentication with application hosted by external third parties.
Increase application security.
How do I log out LynnCAS and ADFS?
The best way to log out of LynnCAS or LynnADFS is to exit or close all active browsing applications. For Windows users, close all open browser windows.  For Mac users, the browsing application remains open until you quit the application from either the File menu or by right-clicking on the Dock icon.
Will my username or password change?
No,  your password will remain the same.  You will need to use either your myLynn username or your Lynn email address depending on the application until we transition all applications to LynnADFS.
