Chegg a textbook rental company had data breach impacting 40 million users. We have identified some Lynn students who have been impacted by this breach as they used their Lynn University student email addresses and passwords. If you are a Lynn student who has used Chegg services please do the following:

  • Change your Lynn password via myLynn. Lynn IT department will expire students’ passwords identified on the stolen credential list at 12:00 p.m. September 26. 
  • Go to the Chegg website and change your password immediately.
  • If you have used the Chegg password for other sites you use, change the password on those sites immediately.

LU Service Desk

The new Lynn University Service Center portal is a one stop support service tool to request and track technology related help and services in the following categories:

  • Application/Software
  • Card Office and Room Access Services (IDs, locks, and lock equipment)
  • Classroom Technology
  • Common area desktop and printing support
  • Computer peripherals
  • Equipment requests
  • Email
  • Passwords/Pins resets
  • iPad support
  • myLynn accounts
  • Personal Desktop, Laptop and Mobile/Cell Device Support
  • Network Resources and Connectivity
  • Voice and Phone

University Data Services Portal – for staff and faculty, these are services provided by Institutional Research and have to do with: 

  • All internal report requests  (new reports, press button reports, updating existing reports)
  • All external data request  (Directory Information requests)
  • External survey requests (US News, external Web site profile updates)
  • Internal Survey Assistance with Qualtrics (User access, survey creation, survey panels)

Do not enter IR requests through IT Support Services, this is a separate portal and IR  will not receive the request in a timely manner.

Maintenance Work Order will remain in the old Service Desk platform until we complete the move to the new portal.

myLynn Login: Authentication and SSO services

The IT department use Microsoft ADFS services to authenticate users.  You will be required to use your myLynn email address (jdoe@email.lynn.edu) and password to login.

What is LynnADFS?
Lynn ADFS is a login service that allows you to access multiple password-protected web applications after logging in once (single sign-on). LynnADFS currently supports several web applications, including myLynn, Canvas, Attendance application and Office365.  
 
LynnADFS will:
Provide a consistent and secure authentication for web applications.
Provide the infrastructure to allow single sign on in applications not currently supported.
Allow authentication with application hosted by external third parties.
Increase application security.
 
How do I log out ADFS?
The best way to log out of LynnADFS is to exit (logout) and close all active browsing applications. For Windows users, close all open browser windows.  For Mac users, the browsing application remains open until you quit the application from either the File menu or by right-clicking on the Dock icon.
