Lynn University has issued revised 1098-T statements for students for the 2018 calendar year.

You may access it online in the myLynn portal.

For families that may have already filed their taxes using the previous issued 1098-T statement, we recommend that you consult with a tax advisor.

Due to the new reporting format required by IRS for the 2018 calendar year, Box 1 of the 1098-T is to include payments and scholarships and grants made toward qualifying expenses.

Lynn’s review of the data, appears that the original 1098-T’s Box 1 included only payments and was missing scholarships and grants.

The issue has been resolved and updated 1098-T’s are now available for affected students.  Not all students were impacted.  We recommend you view the new 1098-T.

For those student that did not choose to receive the 1098-T electronically, a corrected 1098-T will be mailed to you by March 28, 2019.

Students may elect to view and print their IRS 1098-T through myLynn.  Please go to:

  1. Sign-in to your myLynn account (
  2. Click the “Student Finances” tab (on the top)
  3. Click the “1098-T Tax Form” link (on the left)
