The College of International Communication Speech and Debate team won 6 out of 10 top speaker awards and 3 in the top 5 earned certificates when they competed in an all-day policy debate scrimmage tournament at Miami-Dade College Kendall campus on April 20. Students dominated the “Best Speaker” category with 26 speakers in the running:
10th place went to Mimi Trinh
9th place - Colin Lewis
6th place -N’Quavah Velazquez
5th place -Skylar Scoggins
4th place –Mark Spiro
1st place- Alden Ashby

Professors Denise Belafonte-Young and Harry Murphy judged non-Lynn debate rounds to ensure impartiality.
