Get ready to Relay!

Lynn is again hosting Relay For Life, an overnight event designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer in our community. Students, staff and faculty will come together on the intramural field to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society.

The opening ceremony begins at NOON on Friday, April 13, and runs overnight to Saturday, April 14. This year’s theme is the Olympics - a torch lighting ceremony is at 5 p.m.

During the 18-hour event, everyone in the Lynn community – from Athletics, to Academics to Student Groups – creates teams, comes together and sets up camp with a representative walking the track all night long (because cancer never sleeps). Lynn's Relay For Life teams have been holding fundraising events throughout the year, all leading up to this event. The goal this year is to raise $42,000.

Some of the fun things planned include:
-  Opening Ceremonies,  noon (free pizza lunch)
-  Torch Lighting Ceremony and remarks from President Ross at 5 p.m.
-  Cancer Survivors lap and dinner, 6 p.m.
- Inflatables,  6-11 p.m.
- Luminaria Ceremony, 9 p.m.
- Mr. and Miss Relay contest
- Showing of 50/50
- Silent Auction
- BBQ fundraiser
If you are a cancer survivor, please join us for the survivor’s lap and dinner. All survivors are invited to bring one caregiver as a guest. This year’s survivor dinner has been donated by Anthony’s Coal Fire Pizza.

Families are welcome!
** Please no pets **
