Ashes to be distributed in Landgren Chapel

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5. Ashes will be distributed in Landgren Chapel on campus at noon during Catholic Mass, and anytime from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Ash Wednesday begins the Christian season of Lent. It includes 40 days of fasting, prayer, acts of charity, preparing for Easter, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is celebrated this year on April 20.

Lent is an opportunity for everyone to change habits, reflect and transform.  How about an e-fast; 24 hours with no social media?

Lenten dietary fasting restrictions for Catholics for Ash Wednesday and Good Friday:
• No meat, small meals, no eating in between
• All Fridays:  No meat

For assistance on your Lenten journey, contact SRL ext. 7132 or email tmccorry@lynn.edu
