Help victims of Hurricane Sandy

Last week, most of the East Coast was battered by Hurricane Sandy and many areas in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and Upstate New York were also affected. Some of our students have been directly impacted by the storm. Families have lost their homes; others have experienced flooding; still others are waiting for power to be restored. Now, the East Coast is bracing for a nor'easter that is tracking on the same path as Sandy. The storm is predicted to have high wind and heavy rain. The people in the northeast need our prayers and help.

If you would like to help, consider the following options:
• Donate to the Red Cross by texting REDCROSS to 90999, to give $10 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

• Support Lynn student volunteers who will be collecting can goods, warm coats, new under garments, warm clothing, batteries and baby supplies.

The Debate Team will have a table outside the cafeteria at noon - 1 p.m. from Monday, Nov. 12 to Friday, Nov. 16 to ask for donations for the victims of Sandy. They accept all donations including money (cash only), clothing, food, etc.
• Sign posters Lynn will send to universities in the northeast who suffered damage to their campuses due to wind, rain and flooding.
If you would like to make a donation or sign a poster, students will be set up at the weekly Marketplace event tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov. 7) at 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., in Perper Plaza.
