Put your writing skills to work in new contest

The Graphic Novels Club and the Writing Center of the Institute of Achievement and Learning are sponsoring a writing contest during October inspired by postcards featuring pictures of intriguing subjects, such as snake charmers, spontaneous human combustion, narwhals (medium-sized whales) and evil puppets. The writer’s challenge is to compose a flash fiction story of one page or less, a graphic novel storyboard containing plot summary and character descriptions, a poem (possibly a haiku) or news flash.

Winning entries will be selected by a panel of judges from The Graphic Novels Club and Writing Center tutors, and will be forwarded to Quest for publication.

Open to students and employees. If you are interested in participating, come to the Writing Center reception desk in the Green Center and select a postcard for inspiration; first-come, first-served.
