If you have a great idea for a business, you need to enter The Howard Isaacson Innovation Challenge. It could be worth $5,000.
The competition is open to currently enrolled undergraduate or MBA students, and you can enter individually or as a team. This is no ordinary business plan competition because you don’t need to write a business plan to enter or to win. What you need is to come up with a good idea, research the viability of that idea, talk with potential customers, and pitch your idea in a PowerPoint presentation to a panel of judges from the local community. The presentation should be a maximum of 30 minutes (to be presented to a panel of entrepreneurs in April), and you’ll need to write a two-page synopsis of your venture. That’s it!
First Prize $5,000
Second Prize $1,500
Third Prize $500
If you’re interested in participating, send a short synopsis of the business idea (no more than 5 double-spaced pages) to the College of Business at pjohnson@lynn.edu no later than 5 p.m. on March 1.
