Bloomberg News reporter to discuss his book, The New Tycoons

Bloomberg News reporter Jason Kelly will visit Lynn on March 6 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss his new book The New Tycoons: Inside the Trillion dollar Private Equity Industry that Owns Everything.

In The New Tycoons, Kelly demystifies the complex world of private equity by telling the stories of the top firms and their leaders and providing details about how their role as investors, owners and employers has put them at the center of our lives. Kelly will also address how the public’s perceptions of this industry influenced the 2012 presidential election when Mitt Romney’s leadership of Bane Capital, a private equity firm, became a major issue during the campaigns.

The discussion is free and open to the public. It is co-sponsored by Alliance Bernstein, Christopher McDermott and the Colgate and Georgetown Alumni Clubs of Palm Beach. Check the events site to reserve your tickets or for more information.
