Lynn students Catalina Carvajal, Rossanna Chamorro and Miranda Rincon were selected by the Center for Learning Abroad and the Office of Student Involvement to represent the university at the 7th Annual Florida International Leadership Conference (FILC) earlier this month. Held in Altoona, Fla., at the Camp Ocala 4-H Center in the Ocala National Forest, the conference’s mission is to help develop future leaders among international and study abroad students.

Attendees of this year’s FILC had the opportunity to interact with approximately 180 fellow students from 21 institutions across Florida. Through breakout sessions designed to build their leadership skills and inspire them to become more involved on their campuses, the students were able share their experiences as international students and learn methods of adapting to life in other cultures.
