Denise Belafonte-Young , associate professor of film and television; Mark ConeĢ, assistant professor of digital art and design; and Erika Grodzki, professor of advertising and public relations in the College of International Communication, presented and moderated a variety of panels at the Broadcast Education Association National Conference, April 22-25.

Belafonte-Young presented "Curriculum Swapshop: Implementing Innovation in the Classroom" and "Beyond the Associate's Degree," and was moderator for Mark Cone's workshop, "3D Broadcast Graphics." Erika Grodzki presented "Lies, Damn, Lies and Political Spin: Reporting Brexit and the Parallels with the Trump Election Campaign."

Grodzki was elected research chair and media chair for BEA's International Division and Belafonte-Young was elected co-chair for the Production, Aesthetics and Criticism (PAC) Division Festival of Media Arts Student Video Competition, and continues her role as sports division chair of the Festival of Media Arts Faculty Sports Audio Video Competition.
