The Knights of the Roundtable (KOR), Lynn University’s Student Government, is announcing our call for applicants. KOR is committed to working toward improving the student experience for all individuals that call Lynn University home, and it is through the passion and drive within our student body that will provide the means to achieving this goal. The candidates slated to run will be selected through a student body elections, where students will determine our next Student Government Executive Board.  

 

President/Vice President Ticket Application Process & Key Requirements:  

Key Requirements:

  • Candidates required to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
  • Each electoral ticket requires an endorsement of 75 enrolled students

 

Application Process:

  1. Candidates will submit their application along with their resumes and their letter of intent discussing their platform.
  2. Candidates in good standing will be interviewed by the KOR Advisors.
  3. Candidates that are slated will be notified via email that their names will be on the voting ballot.

 

Executive Board Application Process & Key Requirements:

President
• Shall be the official representative of the student body at official university functions
• Shall serve as the liaison between students, faculty, staff, administration, and the community.
• Execute the provisions of the KOR Constitution, call and preside over meetings of KOR, and have a voting right in KOR.
• Shall work with the other executive board members in initiating programs for their area of responsibility.
• Shall be responsible for upholding Parliamentary procedures during meetings.
• Shall present a full report at the close of each semester reporting the status of KOR and the activities presented.
• May not hold an executive board position in another organization.
 
Vice President
• Execute the duties and powers of the President in his/her absence.
• Have a voting right in KOR.
• Shall work with the reporting officers in initiating programs for their area of responsibility.
• Will track all office hours of KOR members, as well as create and set the agendas for meetings.
• Provide oversight to all of the following Knight Staff positions, including staff project reports at executive board meetings.
• May not hold an executive board position in another organization.
 
Secretary
• Will take minutes at KOR meetings and track attendance at all KOR meetings.
• Will set up calendars and schedules, including meeting times.
• Will be responsible for all the KOR financial affairs and transactions
• Will provide a financial report at every KOR meeting.
• May not hold an executive board position in another organization.
 
Public Relations Officer
• Will be responsible for promoting and coordinating the positive a consistent image of KOR through campus and the Boca Raton Community.
• Shall manage KOR’s website and social media platforms.
• Will be responsible for advertising for all KOR General Assembly Meetings
• May not hold an executive board position in another organization.
